U SPORTS Track & Field Championship Day 1 Results

The University of Saskatchewan Huskie track & field team competed in five events on Day 1 of the U SPORTS championship in Edmonton Thursday.

Winston Williams just missed the podium in the 60-metre dash finishing fourth in a time of 6.86 seconds. Jessica Buettner finished 11th in weight throw with a toss of 14.49-metres

Julieanne Labach qualified for the 600-metre finals, while the Canada West champion 4X200-metre relay team of Karson Lehner, Austin Edwards, Brody Pylypow and Adam Paslawski qualified for the race's final. Ryan Kowalchuk also competed in the men's 600-metre heats, but failed to qualify for the event's final.
