Michael Jenkins
Prior to owning and operating his own sports consulting company,
Jenkins spent the past 12 years in the Western Hockey League (WHL) and
will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge with him in the areas
of new business development and marketing. He spent four years with
the Regina Pats, two with Prince Albert Raiders and, most recently, six
with the Saskatoon Blades.
While with the Blades, Jenkins led
the design and launch of new marketing strategies focused on
networking, value, client retention and referrals leading to increases
in corporate sponsorship. Jenkins was runner up as the WHL’s Top
Marketing Professional, an honor he received previously, while working
with the Prince Albert Raiders.
Jenkins work experience includes
diversity and dynamics. He was a key member of the leadership teams for
the 2002 CHL Top Prospects game and the 2005 ADT Canada Russia
Challenge. He also played a major role in the Blades receiving the 2006
SABEX awards of excellence for Community Involvement.
Jenkins is
an active community member and volunteer. He has served as a Director
with the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, an elected executive
member of the 7:22 business Breakfast Club and as Chair of the WHL’s
Marketing Committee. He remains an active volunteer with the Greater
Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, 7:22 Breakfast Club and Tourism
Saskatchewan.
Jenkins attained a Bachelor of Physical Activity
Studies in Sports Administration/Commerce in 1995 with the University
of Regina. Jenkins and his wife, Rebecca, have two young children,
Tyson and Alicia.
